what is the periodic table? Periodic table is a method of classifying elements
How are elements arranged on the periodic table? elements are arranged in order of increasing atomic number
Where are metals and non-metals found on the periodic table? Metals are to the left, while non metals are to the right.
How does metals behave in the periodic table? Reactivity of metals increases down the periodic table
How does non-metals behave on the periodic table? Reactivity of non-metals decrease down the period
The vertical column on the periodic table is called? a group
The horizontal row on the periodic table is called? a period
What is the trend of ionization energy on the periodic table? Ionization energies increases from left to right and from bottom to top of the periodic table.
Why are elements on the left of the periodic table have lower ionization energy? This is because of their ease to lose electrons and become a cation
what is electron affinity? It is the ease by which an atom can accept an electron. The higher the electron affinity, the more the attraction.
what is the trend of electronegativity in the periodic table? The elements in the upper right side have a high electronegativity, and the elements on the lower left side have low electronegativity
where are non-metals located in the periodic table? non-metals are found upper right side.
What are noble gases also known as? enert
what does the periodic law state? it states that when the elements are arranged according to their atomic number, elements with similar properties appear at regualr intervals
