what is acoustics? it is the branch of physics that deals with sound
what are acoustic tubes? they are tubes that help in the propagartion of sound waves to a single direction
what is the cause of sound? sound is caused by vibration of an object
what is an echo? an echo is a sound that is audible after it has been reflected from a solid object like a wall
How does sounds differ? they differ in their loudness, pitch and quality
what is the velocity of sound waves in the air? the velocity is about 1090 feet per second
How does temperature affect the velocity of sound waves? any increase in temperature will increase the velocity of the sound waves by about 1.12 feet for each additional Fahrenheit degree
what is a vibration? this is the oscillating motion of a particle of an elastic body
what is the amplitude of a wave? amplitude is the path of a vibration
what does sound waves consist of? they consist of a condensation and a rarefaction
